Sail Number: 250
Date Launched: 25 June 1994 Where Launched: Richmond BC
Present Location: Point Roberts WA
Boat has been sailing on the coast of British Columbia
and in the waters of the Pacific Northwest. Rattle and Hum was built very light and moves
quite well in light air.
All flat surfaces in the boat were built from Boeing Aircraft
honeycomb panels. Floors, bunk bottoms, tables, and counter tops were constructed
from this material.
I have designed and incorporated a ventilation system based
on the venturi principle. My boat can sit in the rain of the Pacific Northwest for a whole
winter and not have the interior covered with moisture and mildew. I do not even have to
use a heat source to keep the inside dry in the winter. This system works so well and is
so inexpensive, I recommend all trimaran and catamaran sailors install a similar system.
